Carteret rowing club
The CAMBC is located in Normandy, in front of the Channel Island of Jersey on the West coast of Cotentin. Carteret is at 37 km from Cherbourg and 132 km from Caen.
Carteret harbour offer the possibibility to row either in the Channel or inland when the sea is too rough.
CAMBC is twinned with the Montreal Rowing Club in Canada.

The CAMBC organize each year an international regatta between the Island of Jersey and Carteret. The participants are 50% Channel Islanders, 40% French and 10% from others Countries.
The race is 28 kms long or 15 Nm leaving the small port of Gorey in Jersey with the finish here in Carteret.
The weekend was as follows: Friday Depart from Carteret on private boats for Jersey.
Friday evening is free but according to tradition the French crews and the Channel Islanders meet up for chatting and drinking 1 or 2 pints.
Saturday morning sees the preparation of the boats with and Depart in fuction of the tyde.
The fastest crews take 2 hours and the slower up to 5 hours.
The finish line is the entrance channel of Carteret under the gaze of many spectators. The prize giving is in the end of the day followed by a BBQ concert on the harbour at Carteret.
